I'm currently taking a creative writing class and I had to write a poem. I couldn't think of anything to write about so I just said fuck it and based one off dragon age. It was surprisingly well received by my professor?

Theme: Unrequited love

Rosas

A flower, a
Rose
To be exact
It had been years since
She’d seen one

Had she ever
Seen one?

How could something so
Beautiful exist in
A place with so
Much
despair
And ugliness he
Says

She expresses
Gratitude

It was her first
Present in a
Long time

You are a good
Friend
She says

Not what it
Meant
Not what he was
Looking for

Away she
Goes

And his heart
Is on the
Floor
