    As some of you are aware, the DA fandom and Bioware itself has an issue with whitewashing characters of color. Here in The Black Emporium community, we have a strict rule against whitewashing and take the subject very seriously. That said, we are aware that sometimes--either because someone lacks the proper information or is introduced to a character through incorrect art--that whitewashing is not always intentional. To avoid that problem, we have created a skin tone palette for each of the characters of colors that appear in the DA canon, as well as a skin palette for those who had one skin color in one game and a completely different skin tone in another so you can see the difference. Please refer to these references if you are unsure of what someone's proper skin tone should be.

    If you have requests for a character to be added or to have a secondary skin palette be created, please reply to this thread or send a PM to one of the Inquisitors.

    In the instances of Briala and Fiona, I want to make note that while their in-game models depict them with light skin, both of them are heavily implied as dark-skinned in the books they first appear in.
